Thomas M. Fennesy MBS (CEO)
Thomas M. Fennesy MBS comes to Celtic Sub Sea from Accenture, where he previously worked as a Systems Integration and Technology Management Consultant. During his time with Accenture, Thomas consulted on many different projects for multibillion dollar clients in the Financial Services and Resources Sectors. Additionally, Mr. Fennesy’s previous experience includes three years as acting CFO for a commercial diving firm located in Long Beach California and the Gulf of Mexico. Furthermore, Mr. Fennesy is well versed in Finance, Sales & Marketing, Information Technology, Management Consulting, and overall Operational strategy. Mr. Fennesy is a 2006 graduate of Vanguard University of Southern California where he excelled in his discipline and went on to finish top of his class with a BA in International Business and Cultural Anthropology. In 2007, he completed a Masters Degree with honors in International Business (MBS) at The University College Dublin’s Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, Ireland’s leading business school. Mr. Fennesy’s current specializations include the Oil & Natural Gas, Renewable Energy, Information Technology, and Financial Services sectors.
Kevin F. Scallan, PhD (COO)
Kevin F. Scallan, PhD., serves with Celtic Sub-Sea as an independent engineering consultant. Kevin is currently employed by Accenture Plc.; where he works with numerous high-profile clients in the Communications & High Tech industries in the UK & Ireland. Kevin’s deep technical expertise, breadth of experience, and wide network spanning multiple industry and functional areas are major assets to Celtics management team. Kevin is currently focused on the Renewable Energy Client Operating Group at Celtic and provides enginering expertise on an as-needed basis. He holds a PhD. and M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, a Management of Technology Certificate from the Haas School of Business at Berkeley, and a B.Eng. degree in Mechanical Engineering (1st class honours) from University College Dublin. Kevin has participated in numerous Academic, Industry, and Entrepreneurial related events and was elected to the Committee of the Irish Fulbright Alumni Association, April 2009.
Michael A. Fennesy (CSO)
Michael A. Fennesy is a former US Navy First Class Diver. He possesses a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Augustana College, Rock Island Illinois. In addition to Mr. Fennesy’s experience as a US Navy Salvage Diver, he is a former professor of Commercial Diving at The College of Oceaneering, Wilmington California. Mr. Fennesy has had extensive involvement in working with the offshore and inland commercial diving communities. Furthermore, he has spent 6+ years working as a Commercial Diver in the Gulf of Mexico before further exploring an entrepreneurial venture in the commercial diving industry. More recently, Michael was acting Chief Executive Officer of a small commercial diving firm located in Long Beach California and the Gulf of Mexico. The combination of Michael’s previous US military and Gulf of Mexico commercial diving experience improve his ability to comprehend and navigate the dangers commonly faced in the commercial diving profession. Michael is a valued asset and will add a superior level of expertise to the Celtic Sub Sea Management Team.
Kenneth Fennesy (SME)
Kenneth J. Fennesy will serve with Celtic Sub Sea as a US Government Contracting Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Senior Project Manager. Kenneth joins the Celtic Executive Management team from an extensive US Naval Civil Engineering and Project Management background, as well as a more recent 10 years’ involvement in the Energy Services sector. Kenneth is a Retired US Navy Seabee Chief. His career with the United States Navy spanned 20 years and multiple continents. During his time in the US Navy, he developed superior competencies in Civil Engineering, Government Contracting, Project Management, and Energy Services Construction Operations. There is no doubt that Kenneth’s deep technical knowledge and 25+ years’ experience will add significant value to all client engagements.
Jeff Bonifas (Operations Manager)
Jeff Bonifas has been a Commercial Diver in the Gulf of Mexico for 8+ years. During that time he has completed many projects including Installations, P&A, Inspections, and Pipelaying. He’s performed complex tasks at depths of 280+ feet and is extremely knowledgeable regarding dive operations and project management. Furthermore, Jeff possesses a spotless safety record while working offshore. Mr. Bonifas is a world-class diver capable of handling any type of project. Mr. Bonifas's expertise further accentuates the Celtic Sub Sea management teams breath of experience.
